Southern Pathology is located next to Bulli Medical Practice, and is open Monday to Friday from 7.30am till 1pm then 2pm till 4 pm. No appointment is necessary.
Dietitian
Malcolm Gibbs is a Dietitian & Fitness Trainer, who also runs nutrition seminars, exercise programs and “Strong Seniors” programs. Malcolm comes to the Practice once a week on a Thursday. Please call Malcolm on 0402213488 to make an appointment.
Counselling/Psychological TherapiesMr Arch Tibben (Registered Psychologist)
Originally from Bulli, Arch moved to Sydney and has returned to practice in the Illawarra area . He firmly believes that mental well-being is as important as physical well-being for a healthy lifestyle.
Arch graduated from the University ofWestern Sydney University in 1997. Since that time he has completed 9 years of postgraduate training including Psychology (Hons), Master of Psychology, and a Master of Arts (Hons). During his postgraduate years Arch examined different therapeutic approaches that increase mental well-being both in a secular and religious setting. This culminated in several years of specific counselling experience based on different philosophies, theories and practices. Arch continues to teach at various Universities following his research interests.
Arch is a Registered Psychologist (NSW, Dept of Health) and has been approved to treat Veterans (Dept of Veterans Affairs). He is a member of the College of Counselling Psychologists with the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and also a Justice of the Peace (JP).
Arch’s professional interests continue to be in the mental health area. These consist of quality of life issues including problems surrounding anxiety, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), stress coping, depression, anger management and family relationships. He uses and evidence based clinical approach, however, insight and solution-focused are also used. He is also interested in the narratives of immigrants and the resilience and coping skills they employed to survive in a unfamiliar environment.
Life experiences include, raising a family, employment in heavy industry and technical services, managerial positions in a large corporate setting, running a small business and teaching in both the technical and university environment.
In his spare time Arch enjoys swimming, reading, bush walking, gardening, and watching football /soccer on TV.
Medicals Examinations
Bulli Medical Practice offers a range of Medical Examinations. Including Fire, Navy, Corporate, Industrial and Insurance Medical Examinations.
Scuba DivingMedical Examination – considers cardiac, pulmonary and neurological conditions and general health issues, which may put a driver at increased risk.
Please inform reception staff which medical examination you need so time can be correctly allocated.
The charge for a medical examinations depends on the type of examination.Most examination cost $200 + GST . If an EEG or Spirometry is required there may be an additional fee. Medicare rebates are generally not available for medicals examinations.
