Dr Julie Blaze

Julie graduated from Newcastle University in 1986. She completed three years postgraduate training at Royal Prince Alfred and St George Hospitals in Sydney. Julie then undertook post graduate training in General Practice working as a registrar in a variety of settings in Sydney including Leichhardt, Kings Cross, Albion St AIDS clinic, The Travellers Medical and Vaccination Center and also in Nimbin in rural NSW. She has worked in India for an extended period of voluntary work and also in the UK.

When the time came for a sea change Julie and her family moved to Stanwell Park and thoroughly enjoy the beach side lifestyle. Julie took over the Practice form the late Dr William Feneley in 1999 and proceeded to modernize and expand the surgery. Julie and Jeff extended the Practice in 2005 and have added registrar and medical student training and travel medicine services. The Practice now has several assistant doctors offering a diversity of expertise and offers the services of full time General Practice nursing care.

Having spent over 15 years in General Practice, Julie is interested in all aspects of general medical care with a special interest in chronic disease management, paediatrics, women’s health and travel medicine.
In her spare time Julie enjoys actively raising two children, cooking, swimming, yoga, reading, playing netball and walking her dog. She believes that keeping fit and well is vital to maintaining health and happiness.
                                                                                      
Dr Jeff Hall

In 1995 Jeff graduated from the University of Sydney. After completing the Fellowship of the Royal Australia Collage of GPs, he returned to Wollongong and has been working in Bulli since 1998.

Jeff is interested in all aspects of medical care particularly paediatrics, dermatology and men’s health. He is registered for Ante-Natal Shared care at Wollongong Hospital and has completed a scuba diving medical examiners course in 2002 to assess fitness to the Australia Diving Standard. In 2007 Jeff completed his Diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine.

Jeff supervises medical students of the University of Wollongong and General Practice Registrars of Coast City Country Training.

Living in Wollongong with his wife and three children Jeff loves being a part of the Illawarra community. 

Dr Helen Maclean

Dr Maclean graduated from the University of Sydney in 2000 with Bachelor of Science , majoring in Psychology. She then moved on to UNSW to study Medicine, completing her studies in 2006 . She has since worked at the Wollongong Hospital enjoying all areas of medicine, doing the majority of her work in the Emergency Department.

Dr Maclean has settled in the area with her husband and Golden Retriever Atticus, and looks forward to completing her GP training in the Illawarra. In her spare time she enjoys travel, walking, learning to cook and care for her new garden, and spending time at the beach.

Dr Amy Ho

Amy grew up in Hobart and moved to Sydney when she got into Medicine in University of NSW .

She trained and completed her internship at St George Hospital. She then moved to the UK to gain further postgraduate training and enjoyed lots of travelling in Europe.
Amy returned to Australia and worked at Sydney Children’s Hospital and completed a Diploma in Paediatrics. After completing the Fellowship of the Royal Australian Collage of GP, she has worked in Sydney. After getting married in 2009 she moved to Wollongong and started working in Bulli.

Amy has special interest in Women’s and sexual health, family planning, Paediatrics, Diabetes and Mental Health.

In her leisure time she enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.

Dr Annette Roberts

Annette grew up in the Sutherland Shire before moving to Northern Wollongong for its beaches and relaxed atmosphere.

She attended the University of Sydney, where she completed her Bachelor of Medical Science and then Medical Degrees. Her intern year was done at the Wollongong Hospital. Following this she have worked 5 more years in the emergency department. She changed paths in 2010 and moved into general practice, which she finds very rewarding.

Outside of work, Annette is busy raising 5 daughters with her husband. She also enjoys playing netball and squash, and going to the beach. Her special interests are women's health, paediatrics, and aged care.

Practice Nurses- Karen Melanie and Andrea

Karen , Mel and Andrea are Registered Nurses who are committed to ensuring that patients receive the highest of

nursing care. They continue to update their skills and regularly attend various courses and workshops.

Practice Nurse Manager

Karen graduated as a registered nurse form Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney in 1979. Karen has worked in the public hospital system, for a number if years at Bulli District Hospital, and also in the private sector.

Karen has been working at Bulli Medical Practice since 1994, first employed by Dr William Feneley and then by Dr’s Julie Blaze and Jeff Hall when they took over the Practice. Karen has completed the Accredited Immunisation Course, Wound Care Workshops, Accredited Ear Syringing Course and continues to update her skills frequently attending educational workshops.

Karen is married with three children and has lived locally for most of her life. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, reading, gardening and spending time with family and friends

Practice Nurse Melanie

Melanie has been with the practice since October 2006. She has been nursing for over ten years, as an assistant in nursing, an enrolled nurse, and then a registered nurse, graduating from the University of Wollongong in 2003 with a Bachelor of Nursing with distinction.

Melanie’s areas of experience include general, aged and rehabilitation nursing, with particular time spent in paediatric and emergency areas. Recent areas of study include immunisation and early childhood.

Melanie grew up in Woonona, and now lives with her husband and two daughters in Russell Vale.

Practice Nurse Andrea

Andrea is married with 4 children .She has lived in Bulli for the last 14 years . She has been nursing since 1999, completed a Bachaelor of nursing with Distictions in 2002. Previously worked at Wollongong Day surgery for the last 7 years and at Sydney IVF in Wollongong for the last 3 years . Enjoys reading and cooking.
